The Giants offense was not expected to do much when the season began and should have difficulty scoring runs against rising star Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw is touted as one of the best (if not the best) pitching prospect in baseball today. He has one of the best curveballs in baseball and his fastball can reach in the high 90's.

Kershaw has shown to struggle with control at times but the Giants do not have a lineup that can make him pay if he does struggle. They've lost four in a row totalling only ten runs in those four games.

Starting for the Giants is Matt Cain who has never beat the Dodgers, holding a record of 0-6 with a4.06 ERA against them. The Dodgers are scoring plenty of runs so look for Cain's winless streak agaist the Dodgers to continue.
