Game: Los Angeles Angels @ New York Yankees
Sport: MLB
Pick: Over 10, 1.95
Reason for Pick:
The Yanks new ballpark is becoming a hitters paradise. Possibly due to the new wind currents or something else, betting the over at New Yankee Stadium has been profitable.
The Yanks are looking for their 4th straight victory and have hit the ball well during this current streak as they have an average of .308, scored 26 runs including 5 doubles, 5 homes and 19 walks in their three wins.
What also bodes well for backing the OVER is that both pitchers have not had really good success against their opponents tonight.
The Angels Jered Weaver went 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts last year against the Yanks. He's a flyball pitcher and with the way the ball is flying out of New Yankee Stadium, the Yanks could blow this one wide open.
Also, Andy Pettite of the Yanks has had his struggles against the Angels as of late. In three starts last year he went 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA against them.
When you consider poor pitching matchups, two great offenses and a hitters ballpark you must back the over on this one.

Game: Baltimore Orioles @ Toronto Blue Jays
Sport: MLB
Pick: Blue Jays -1.5, 1.91
Reason for Pick:
Both teams are on a losing streak but the main difference between the two is that the Blue Jays have been scoring much more runs.
The problem with the Jays is that they've suffered too many injuries on their pitching staff and their fill-ins could not hold the opposition to a reasonable score.
Things will be different tonight with their Ace Roy Halladay taking the mound. He has been expecially good against the Orioles going 18-4 with a 2.86 ERA in his career against them. In 2008 alone, he went 2-0 with a 3.07 ERA in two starts last year. He also had 13 k's in 14.2 innings of work.
SP for the Orioles, Mark Hendrickson has not had the same success against his former team. He is 2-6 against them with a 4.85 ERA. Although he did not face them at all last year, he had 3 relief appearances against them in 2007 and posted a 7.94 ERA. In 2006 he started 3 games and went 0-3 with a 4.74 ERA.
Look for the Jays to continue to swing a hot bat that they've had success against in the past and the Orioles to get shut down by one of the AL's best.

Game: Oakland Athletics @ Seattle Mariners
Sport: MLB
Pick: Oakland ML, 1.91
Reason for Pick:
The Seattle Mariners will send Carlos Silva to the mound who has been struggling so far this season. He is 1-2 with a 6.14 ERA and has not lasted past the 5th inning in 3 of his 4 starts.
Left-handed Dana Eveland starts for the A's. He is coming off a solid performance on Sunday, when he yielded one run and four hits in five innings of a 7-1 win over Tampa Bay. He tinkered with his mechanics to speed up his tempo prior to the game and ended up dominating the Rays.
Seattle already has a weak offesnse but has particularly struggled against left-handed pitchers at home hitting only .130.
Seattle has cooled off since it's hot start losing 3 of 4 while Oakland has heated up since it's cold start winning 3 of 4.
Look for Oakland to dominate this one early and with a solid bullpen, they'll keep the lead and take the win.

Game: Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat
Sport: NBA
Pick: Heat -5.0, 1.91
Reason for Pick:
The Hawks will be missing two key big men tonight - Al Horford and Marvin Williams.
I expect Miami to take advantage of this depleted front court especially when they're facing elimination they will come out hard tonight.
The Heat have plenty of other motivation to win tonight. Of course facing elimination should be enough but Josh Smith's classless showboating in their last game makes me think they're going to be extra pumped.
I expect the Heat thrive on their home court and bring the series to a game 7, beating the Hawks and their 3rd string front court.
