Game: Florida Marlins @ Chicago Cubs
Sport: MLB
Pick: Marlins ML, 2.15
Reason for Pick:
The Marlins send Anibal Sanchez to the mound today after what appeared to be a rough outing in his last start, at face value. Looks can be decieving however, as in that 7-1 defeat to the Mets he really just had one bad first inning where he allowed 6 earned runs. His ERA rose from 2.50 to 4.13 due to this and many casual betters will shy away from him because of this number but as I've just told you, that's a very artificial number.
Sanchez has done very well against the Cubs as in his only start against them (which was last year) he pitched 5.1 effective innings giving up only 1 earned run.
Ted Lilly hasn't faced the Marlins since 2007 but still has struggled against them regardless. In his two starts against the Marlins that year he was 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA against them.
What has been hurting the Cubs is an inconsistent offense. What doesn't help is that Aramis Ramirez is questionable with a calf injury.
Hanley Ramirez (hand) for the Marlins is probable to play today.
Considering all the above, you can get great value playing the Marlins on the money line.

Game: Chicago Bulls @ Boston Celtics
Sport: NBA
Pick: Under 196, 1.91
Reason for Pick:
With these two teams playing a bunch of overtime games so far with only one day of rest in between each game, at this point they must be playing on extreemly tired legs. What doesn't help either is that both benches are thin and aren't being used a lot.
The over/under totals have been inflated due to the numerous overtime games so far. With fatigue a key factor as the series goes on and especially today, I expect a very sloppy game for these two teams especially when you consider the fact that these are two jump shooting teams on very tired legs.

Game: Cleveland Indians @ Detroit Tigers
Sport: MLB
Pick: Cleveland Indians ML, 1.98
Reason for Pick:
The Indians send Aaron Laffey to the mound today who has been pitching fairly well to start the season. He's also pitched fairly well against the Tigers as in his only start last year received a no-decision while allowing 2 earned runs in 6.2 innings of work.
The Tigers send Zach Miner to the mound against the Indians who hasn't pitched well against them. 6 Indians hit above .300 against him. In 3 relief appearances last year he pitched 2 2/3 innings and had an ERA of 20.22.
What also helps the Indians is that the Tigers bullpen is terrible.
When you consider good pitching matchups for the Indians and a team that has dominated the other in the recent past, leaning towards the Indians should be profitable.

Game: Chicago White Sox @ Texas Rangers
Sport: MLB
Pick: Texas Rangers ML, 1.83
Reason for Pick:
Texas sends Brandon McCarthy to the mound today against the team that originally drafted him. He's been decent so far this season with a 2.0 record but a 5.32 ERA can be improved upon which doesn't necessarily matter with the way the Rangers have been pounding the ball.
McCarthy hasn't ever faced his former club so the first at bats for the White Sox will be a feeling out process to get a feel for the movement of his pitches.
Chicago sends Jose Contreras to the mound who has been terrible to start the season, absolutely terrible. He has bad pitching matchups against the heavy hitting Rangers.
I expect the Rangers to pound out many many runs at the expense of the old and extreemly hittable Contreras.
