The Brewers send their Ace to the mound who has been simply dominant to start the season. One of his past outings was a an 8 inning shutout against the Pirates where he struck out 11 and allowed only 2 hits.


Gallardo is 3-0 with a 1.08 ERA in four career starts against the Pirates. Only two batters hit above .300 against him on the Pirates roster.


In contrast, 6 batters hit above .300 against Paul Maholm, the Pirates starter for today. He has also lost his last 5 decisions versus the Brewers and the Pirates have lost the last eight starts he's made against them. In his career he is 2-5 with a 4.59 ERA aganst the Brewers.


The Brewers haven't been hitting the ball extreemly well as of late but with a good pitching matcup and their ace on the mound, I expect them to win this one handily. Consider the run line at -1.5 for the Brewers at well.

The Lakers and Rockets have both started their round 1 series with high scoring games and to simply fade as the series have gone forward.

With the lower scoring games in the recent minds of the sportsbetters, the line opens up at a bargain for the over.

Both teams scored a tonne of points against each other during the regular season and the same will happen today.

There is great value for the over in this one.

Reason for Pick:
Baltimore's Adam Eaton is terrible and against a hot lineup that the Rays have, I expect him to get shredded to bits tonight.

The Orioles can score runs themselves but it won't be enough to catch up to the surging Rays.

This game is being played at Tropicana Field where the OVER has been a prominent ocurance.

Game: Cleveland Indians @ Toronto Blue Jays

Reason for Pick:
The Indians send struggling pitcher Fausto Carmona to the mound against the highest scoring team in the majors, the Jays.

You can get a bargain on the ML due to the Jays starter Brian Tallet's last start where he gave up a tonne of runs to the Royals. He did well in his previous starts however.

Both teams will hit tonight but Toronto has just a bit better offense and a superior bullpen.
